BioSlow: a pact for beauty and happiness

BioSlow is a manifesto of values that looks to the future by placing Earth, Food, Ethics, Climate at the center: a visionary and, in some respects, dreamy document, drafted to gather the best energies of the territories and rebuild hope in the future, starting again from food, the role of farmers and ranchers in society and the economy, slow mobility and the right to walk in the landscape - without walls and without barriers - to foster integral human development.

BioSlow is a pact between those who believe that a commitment to protect and enhance our immense material and immaterial heritage is a priority and imperative.

BioSlow is a covenant between those who consider it a priority and an imperative commitment to a strategy of protection and enhancement of our immense tangible and intangible heritage, a strategy that sees in local communities the place and the human and cultural context synonymous with good living, taste, traditions, creative know-how, harmonious social dimensions, and landscape in balance between urban fabric and rural environments.

In other words, it is a pact in favor of beauty and happiness, supporting a new resurgence of values, ideas, and planning not only compatible, "zero-impact" or vaguely sustainable, but capable of producing value in the context of a solidarity and intergenerational ethic.

Who signed the pact

Bioslow was born on November 23, 2018 at the "All Routes Lead To Rome" Meeting, during the conference "The Wayfarer's Bisaccia." The promoters are the ItaliaBio network (National Association of Organic Producers) with Simtur (Italian Society of Professional Soft Mobility and Sustainable Tourism).
