Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to visit the medieval Dasà mill where, for generations, locals ground their own wheat to make pasta and bread. Here you will learn from the last surviving operator how this fascinating process took place.

Then, in a local museum, you will see exhibits from Calabria's culinary and cultural history as you learn about the past of this unique region. Many of the kitchen utensils you will see here will be used in the next culinary experience!

In a beautifully restored historic kitchen, you will learn how to make fileja pasta, or as it is known in Dasà, "maccarruna."

This unique and interesting pasta format is a favorite among the locals, and with good reason! Together we will enjoy a classic Dasà lunch: maccarruna and beans. It will probably be unlike any "pasta and beans" you have ever had before! In addition, you will be served a full menu of traditional Calabrian dishes.

The class is suitable for everyone, children and adults, and no previous cooking experience is needed.
