Varzi in Fair

To mark the May 1 celebrations each year, Varzi in Oltrepò Pavese holds an engaging Fair in the streets of the ancient medieval village. Tastings of the area's best products, especially Salame di Varzi Dop, as well as honey, cheese and wine, are organized during the event. Another highly anticipated moment is the exhibition of different breeds of cattle, horses, rabbits and mules, which are festively harnessed. There are also equestrian shows, a parade of Carriages and Knights, and visits to the village and the Witches' Tower. Finally, the event is enlivened by engaging traditional music.
