In a nutshell
Inspired by the illustrious citizen and lawyer-Tomaso detto da Caponago-in the 15th century, the celebrations of the historic Palio began, which still sees the town's four districts-Molgora, San Giorgio, San Vigilio and Restelon-compete.
For the occasion, the four districts parade through the streets of the town wearing period costumes and compete in singolar tenzone, trying to win the Gonfalone.
