Busalla Rose Festival

On the second weekend of June, Busalla celebrates roses. This is a traditional event aimed at enhancing the "Scrivia Valley Syrup Roses" (Slow Food Presidium) and promoting the products obtained precisely from the processing of this beautiful flower, such as gastronomic products, especially sweets, but also those related to the world of cosmetics. The rose harvest takes place between May and June, which corresponds to the period when the artisanal syrup is also produced, made from the infusion of rose petals, water, sugar and a few drops of lemon. A traditional Genoese recipe with natural ingredients. During the two-day event there is also a market along the streets of the historic center and other side events, such as an exhibition of roses and garden flowers, medicinal plants and herbs. Within the "Antola Experience" space - set up in the Antola Park - book presentations, tastings and more are also organized.
