Festival representing the historical tradition of the village: polentone seasoned with sauce made from "poor" fish: herring, cod, tuna and anchovies. The tradition of Polentone dates from around 1920 (but may be even earlier), probably imported by veterans of the 1915-18 war, and from year to year handed down by the people of that time until today.
Until the 1970s, the feast was held on Ash Wednesday in St. John's Square, preceding a collection of foodstuffs, to which all families in the village contributed, receiving in return the free distribution of polentone, the only meal to feed themselves in that time of poverty and misery.
