Way of the Cross in Monte San Martino

The ancient rite of the Stations of the Cross is renewed in Monte San Martino, gathering the whole community in the re-enactment of Jesus' passion and death. The 14 stations are arranged along the streets of the historic center, at the most evocative points. A voice narrates the salient passages of Jesus' martyrdom, figures enact them, and the procession of the faithful winds through the streets and gathers around the stations. The collective prayer ascends to heaven, along with the notes of the village band.
