In Chiusi on the last weekend of June - for more than 30 years - an important historical reenactment, the "Tria Turris," is held. Over the course of three intense and engaging days, Santa Mustiola - patron saint of the village - is celebrated with musical performances, fire-breathing, flag-waving, jugglers and acrobats. The three historic taverns of the Terzieri (three factions) are opened for the occasion, serving dishes prepared according to traditional recipes, such as meat cooked in the characteristic "Foconi" and handmade "Pici." The streets of the village come alive with splendid historical processions in costume. In addition, the village's three factions compete in the "Palio delle Torri," to triumph over the other two factions and represent the Saint during the last moments of the festivities.
