Macagn Festival
The typical mountain cheese from the Biella region Slow Food Presidium
In a nutshell
A unique cheese to be valued and protected, a symbol of the Biella mountain area. Macagn is a Slow Food presidium; it is an act product made from whole, raw cow's milk. Less well known than Piedmontese toma, Macagn has excellent qualities and is celebrated with a beautiful festival by the Crocemosso community. The cheese is used by chefs to prepare succulent traditional dishes, and during the event there will be plenty of side activities such as dairy workshops and musical moments to enjoy with the community.
