Sa Passillada in Escalaplano

The historic center of Escalaplano comes alive with festivity between October 31 and November 1 each year, when the traditional "Sa Passillada" is held. This is a special event in which the whole community participates in musical performances, book presentations and art workshops. The main moment of the festival consists of the itinerant lunch, which takes place on the second and last day. During this picturesque event, visitors buy a "fork" and with a map can stop in private courtyards - "cortes" - to taste excellent local dishes and products, amid the notes of traditional songs.
