Palio delle Botti

On the occasion of the historical religious re-enactment of the Celestine Pentecost, Corropoli offers a series of spectacular events of great appeal. On Saturday, a conspicuous procession of figurants in medieval costume will walk through the streets of the historic center to the main square, there will then be the presentation of the contrade that will compete in the "Palio delle Botti" and the branding of the barrels. On the Sunday of the race: expert hands will accompany the descent of the barrels along the agreed route to the finish line in Piè di Corte square amid cheers and cheering crowds. Throughout the event, food and wine stands will offer typical dishes of the rich Abruzzese cuisine.
