Palio dell'Oca

Every year in August, Cagli celebrates the "Palio dell'Oca," dedicated to a game that dates back to the 16th century. The streets of the magnificent village come alive with historical processions in costume and taverns offering traditional local recipes and dishes. Everything is enveloped in the aromas and notes of historic cuisine. The whole town participates in the games during which representatives of the four borough districts also compete in the entertaining Game of the Goose, an unpredictable contest in which victory depends only on luck in the roll of the dice.
