On July 31 and August 1, Ceppaloni does not fail to reintroduce an event that has its roots in a very old past: the Porziuncola fair, with an attached festival of fusilli and pecorino cheese. Many are the faithful who take part in the event. In fact, it evokes St. Francis and the indulgence traditionally granted to all who visited a Franciscan church, around the time of August 1. In Ceppaloni there is indeed a Franciscan convent (worth a visit) and in the adjacent Church of the SS. Annunziata is preserved an oil painting, the Pardon of Assisi, depicting the solemn plenary indulgence granted on August 2, 1216, by the Virgin to St. Francis. Food, quality gastronomy, popular music, events.
