The Regional Pumpkin Fair

When one thinks of Autumn, the first thing that comes to mind after the warm colors of the leaves on the trees in this season are undoubtedly the tasty seasonal products such as pumpkin. In the municipality of Piozzo, every year there is a fair dedicated to the prized autumn vegetable, which is part of the local gastronomic tradition. In the Piedmontese municipality, the pumpkin was even used as a container for wine to take to the vineyards during the long days of work. The Piozzo Pumpkin Fair has attracted an ever-growing audience year after year, reaching the display of more than 450 different varieties of pumpkin from all over the world, but grown exclusively in the surrounding area. The event is enlivened by tastings of pumpkin products - from risotto to desserts - parades of cheerful traditional themed floats and an exhibition dedicated to the tasty product.
