Among the festivities held in Masullas, that of "Sa Gloriosa" is the most awaited and important one for the inhabitants of the village. The festivities in honor of the Blessed Virgin of Graces (Patron Saint of Masullas) begin with the evocative sacred rite "Sa cabada de sa santa" - that is, the Descent of the Saint - during which the Simulacrum of the Virgin, kept in the Church of the Blessed Virgin Gloriosa, is removed from the altar that houses it the rest of the year and a chorus of prayers and songs is celebrated. Then the statue is placed inside a processional trunk, called "Sa Cadira," and carried in procession through the streets of the village. On the first evening of the festival, there is also a Sheep Festival and engaging traditional singing and dancing in the square. The festivities continue for another three days with fireworks displays-"Sa Roda de Sa Gloriosa"-the Holy Mass in honor of the saint and the solemn procession with the simulacrum. The last day of festivities closes with the last Holy Mass in honor of the saint and more Sardinian dancing in the square that continues throughout the night.
