La Festa d'la Chisöla

Every year on the first weekend of September and for three days, the town of Borgonovo Val Tidone comes alive with the festivities of a traditional festival, the "Festa d'la Chisöla." The star of the event is the delicious focaccia with cracklings-a poor product of the peasant tradition-that can be tasted at the stands distributed along the streets of the village. The focaccia is recognized as a "traditional agri-food product" and is listed in the De.C.O. - Denominazione Comunale d'Origine - Register of the Municipality of Borgonovo Val Tidone.
