The Historical Procession of Montemurlo
A reenactment of the 16th century battle
With the purpose of re-enacting the great "Battle of Montemurlo," which took place on August 1, 1537, every year on the last Sunday of June in the hamlet of Oste, an exciting event, the "Historical Procession of Montemurlo," is held.
The main moments of the re-enactment are the grand historical procession in period dress-accompanied by flag-waving and Renaissance dancing-and the sumptuous banquet with traditional Renaissance dishes, drums and live music.
