Feast of the Paranza Fish, in Castellabate (SA)
One of the tastiest events in the Cilento region, dedicated to promoting local fish and the Mediterranean Diet
The heart of this celebration is. round! It is Camogli's "giant f rying pan" (4 meters in diameter!) where quintals of fish (mullet, shrimp, squid) will be fried in more than 1,000 liters of oil throughout the festival!
Is your mouth already watering? The official start is on Friday afternoon when the fish is landed from the fishing boats. And then.... off to the party! Not only the maxi fry, but food stands with the many typical Cilento products, lots of live music, show cooking and entertainment for children...
The party, organized by the Punta Tresino association, awaits you in the gardens of Villa Matarazzo, in Santa Maria di Castellabate (SA).
