On the days of the festival a procession of harnessed horses and horsemen parades through the streets of the city escorting the statue of the patron Saint Oronzo. The dressing of the horses and riders is done with arabesque cloaks and fine harnesses. After the procession in Freedom Square, with the ever-present illuminations, operatic and symphonic pieces are performed. Traditional fireworks conclude the celebration.
