Guardavalle, between the Ionian Sea and the Serre Mountains

Guardavalle, a winding maze of narrow streets and stairways from which to admire the Costa degli Aranci on the Ionian Sea and the Calabrian Serre Mountains. Its history, shared with the ancient fief of Stilo, the beautiful Church of Madonna del Rosario and the works of art it preserves, the surviving watchtower and many other small curiosities make it a delightful village to explore slowly, savouring every moment.

Not only the historic centre: there are also the two hamlets of Guardavalle Marina, closer to the Ionian coast, and Elce della Vecchia, a reconstruction of the ancient settlement of Pietracupa.
