Stilo, at the foot of Mount Consolino, travels back in time every August. Artists, figures and knights recreate the Calabria of Tommaso Campanella, between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, in an atmosphere that enchants those who visit. Stilo's historical re-enactment is one of the most important in Calabria and southern Italy.The Palio di Ribusa proper consists of various challenges and tests of skill for the knights, who also compete in a race in the specially made arena.
