Discovering the area from Villa Bozzolo to the Salvini Museum

Starting from Villa Della Porta Bozzolo, now a sublime example of a mansion of delight, featuring a spectacular 18th-century garden and sumptuously frescoed rooms, the visit will lead to the discovery of the oldest soul of this place and the transformation of the park from an agricultural estate to a formal garden. In fact, the Villa was born as a country residence, and the house still preserves the evocative agricultural premises: the old cellars, wine press, icehouse and spinning mill. We will go on to discover a highly evocative corner of the province, the Innocente Salvini Museum, an old mill nestled in the green woods, still in perfect working order, which hides the flavors of country life and the great genius of a painter who lived and grew up in this very place. His innovative works, which are also in the Vatican's art collections, tell the story of quiet country life through the colors of nature and autumn. The visit, with a fee and reservation required, is organized with the collaboration of Fondazione Comunitaria del Varesotto Onlus. If you join FAI on site or renew on the day of the event you get in for free and we refund your ticket.
