The feast of St. Joseph in Pazzano
The celebration of the country's patron saint is a time to be experienced all together in the square and among the streets of during the procession
Every year on March 19, Pazzano celebrates its patron saint, St. Joseph with a celebration that is deeply felt by the local people. On the afternoon of March 19, people gather in the church of Santa Maria Assunta in Cielo to celebrate mass. At the end of the service, the statue of St. Joseph, loaded onto its sedan chair, is carried out of the church and welcomed into the alley by the bells and the village band. All together there is a procession to the square to watch the fireworks and pray. The small procession then continues on its way back to the church. It is a simple yet powerful event, and above all, it is an opportunity to come to know not only a village, but a community, the wonderful community that animates Pazzano.
