A weekend in Ferruzzano, in the Valley of the Armenians
Ancient millstones, a Roman road, a ghost town, an artist's house and many natural wonders in Ionian Calabria

Travelogue: as in Grand Tours
It's a Sunday in late October, so hot it feels like a day in the middle of summer: yesterday there were people swimming, we are told. We have two exceptional guides: Santo and Orlando. Santo is the president of the Rudina Association, a deep connoisseur of his territory and a lover of bees. Orlando, born in 1947, is a passionate and unstoppable historian, an expert (among a thousand other things) on ancient millstones and vines.
The stages of our journey
Our itinerary winds its way through many wonders, but perhaps the most profound leitmotif is the theme of theinvisible: everything that only thanks to our guides we are able to see. A rare privilege. Usually we stop at the sea, sometimes we get to the ghost town, but how many wonders between the sea and the town await us! Thank you Prof. Orlando, thank you Santo: we saw your land through your eyes and learned to love it with your heart.
