Illuminations for the Immaculate Conception in Palermo
Every year Basilica and Piazza S. Francesco d'Assisi in Palermo are dressed in light for the Immaculate Conception: a solemn tradition of "illuminations" that has been repeated since the disappearance of the plague in 1624.
