On the road from Monte San Martino to Infernaccio
A route that touches three beautiful villages in the Marche region following the Tenna River
Where is

Itinerary along the Tenna River
The villages of the Marche, small stone worlds perched on mountains, faithful to their own tradition and rhythm for centuries. The Sibillini Mountains, painted blue by the fresh, clean air that surrounds them, cloaked in lush fields and forests. The Tenna River, winding and graceful through the Marche in search of the sea.
An enchanting landscape that beckons and begs to be explored slowly, with attentive eyes and a light step. We start from the wonderful village of Monte San Martino, in the province of Massa Carrara, and ideally we are guided precisely by the Tenna on our journey, but we decide to go upstream against the tide, in search of the magical place that he himself has carved out: the Infernaccio Gorge.
The stops: Monte San Martino, Amandola and Montefortino
Before we plunge into the realm of the Tenna, however, we enjoy the authentic jewels this area has to offer, the three villages we encounter along the way: Monte San Martino, Amandola and Montefortino. The great beauty of this journey is that it can be experienced on foot, by bike, or on horseback, in the first case, stopping at least for one night in one of the villages, so as not to risk running too fast. And yes, you can also use a car, but let's be honest: do you really want to speed through this magnificent landscape without being able to fully enjoy it? Unlikely. So get ready, let's go!
