Tuscia denotes the Viterbo area and generally upper Lazio. The term comes from the Latin Tuscia (pronounced tuskia), the territory inhabited by the Tusci, or Etruscans, plural of Latin tuscus, a contraction of etruscus. From Tuscia, synonymous with Etruria, derive the name of the region of Tuscany and the name of the municipality of Tuscania in the province of Viterbo.

We propose five unique days, five colors, five special itineraries to experience every moment, every wonder, every flavor of the Alta Tuscia viterbese. This is the Blue itinerary, a food and wine tour of this extraordinary area. Choose your personal color palette, we'll take care of the rest.

A special, slow day awaits us, dedicated to the thousand flavors of the Latium territory that blends with Umbria and Tuscany. We will go in search of typical products, visiting the farms and agritourisms of the area, a day to know, taste, breathe and experience an atmosphere that will amaze you.

We will meet our guide at 9 a.m. in Acquapendente's Piazza Comunale. Acquapendente is crossed by the Via Cassia, the most important communication route between Rome and Tuscany, which here merges and overlaps with the Via Francigena. On this road have passed armies of conquering peoples, pilgrims on their way to Rome and the Holy Land, cultures and traditions that have influenced the local food and wine products, enriching their taste. From Pungolo spelt, to Pici all'aglione, from white and red wines, to extra virgin olive oil, to cured meats, to wonderful cow and sheep cheeses, not to mention desserts!

We will meet local businesses, small and large, all bound by a bond of passion with the rolling hills of Tuscia. In fact, during the day we will visit beautiful agritourisms, have lunch with local dishes, and have a tasting of products from ancient wineries, oil mills and historic dairies. We will discover castles transformed into wine shops in an irresistible natural setting. At the end of the day, return to Acquapendente or Orvieto (on request).
