"The Visions of Petrarch" tells the "story of a soul" starting from the last years of the great Aretine's life when, between 1367 and 1374, in the peace of the small town of Euganea, when the poet set out to reorganize and rework his writings with the explicit purpose of delivering them to posterity.

A tiptoeing journey through the life of Francesco Petrarch; traversing history, literature, theater and emotion you will discover the soul of a man who had made Literature his sole mission.

The structure of the tour is inspired by the Trionfi, the great unfinished vernacular poem on which the poet worked for twenty years, until his last days, amid doubts, hesitations, and variations aimed at capturing the authentic spiritual story of his soul.

The figure of Petrarch is portrayed through the story of his existence, fragments of the Canzoniere and other works that the poet finished until the last days of his life, dialogues with Laura, the beloved woman, with his daughter Francesca who assisted him in his last days and with the "Truth" symbolic figure taken from the Secretum, the work in which the poet dialogues with St. Augustine.

Born in the House of Petrarch, the Animated Visit® moved to the Oratory of SS. Trinity (heated and more capacious), not far from the house itself, where the poet used to go to pray, where the poet's memories flow, the female figures that marked his existence appear, the immortal words and verses rely on the voice of the actors, in one of the oldest and most evocative Italian villages, Arquà, in the charming hamlet that even in its name still reminds us of him and that has managed to preserve virtually intact in its cobbled streets and stone houses the two-thirds-thirteenth-century face, to live and breathe together with the poet.
