Fortresses in Montefeltro

Weekend of art, history, culture and gastronomy in Montefeltro, a land of clashes and struggles between the foot soldiers of Sigismondo Malatesta and those of Duke Federico da Montefeltro. Following his victory, Federico da Montefeltro reunited the territory by calling to court important architects of the time such as Francesco Di Giorgio Martini and Luciano Laurana. The castles and fortifications of Montefeltro then acquired the form they still retain today.
