Our delightful food tour begins at the Agriturismo Voltraio Bio Resort in the rolling countryside of Volterra where you will meet the first guide as well as an agricultural entrepreneur who is the owner of Podere Le Stalle, an organic farm in the Volterra area that produces wine, olive oil and cereals. He will take you on a discovery of his farm by walking for about 5 minutes along a path with breathtaking views, and during the stop at the Podere, the history of the vineyard and its important characteristics will be described. The grapes come from a small vineyard of 1.5 hectares, renovated a few years ago, with Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes; the latter two varietals are vinified in purity. The production is limited to about 2,000 bottles per year to highlight the attention to the quality of the product. After the visit, we will return to the Agriturismo Voltraio Bio Resort, the certified organic farm consists of 260 hectares, also consisting of 100 hectares of forest for truffle hunting, where wheat, spelt, spelt flours are produced and from the spelt obtained we are able to create a small production of cantuccini, typical Tuscan cookies and a delicious spelt beer.

Awaiting you in this beautiful place is a rich and tasty tasting of Voltraio's artisanal production, from a board of mixed cold cuts, jams, honey, and local cheeses to a tasting of wine from the Podere Le Stalle area. The winery offers a tasting of the 3 different red wines produced: Dihane (Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon), Etsuyo (Syrah 100%) and Vasco (Cabernet Sauvignon 100%), you can taste and sip it all in front of the spectacular view from the farmhouse overlooking the surrounding hills and Mount Voltraio.
