Walsertreffen: folklore and community spirit

A cultural event consisting of the gathering of the Walser peoples, who animate the streets of Ornavasso showing off their typical traditional costumes, performing various ceremonies and performances following customs handed down from generation to generation. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the different customs of this Germanic people who inhabit some of the Alpine valleys between Piedmont, Aosta Valley and Switzerland. There is a visitor pass for a fee to use the tourist trains provided to move between the different activities of the festival.
