Stresa Liberty

Stresa recalls its bright past as a favorite destination of the aristocracy vacationing on Lake Maggiore during the Belle Époque. And it does so to the smallest detail: a procession of reenactors dressed in period costumes, a parade of historic horse-drawn carriages, breakfasts on the grass worthy of a Monet painting and cruises on the twentieth-century steamship "Piemonte." In the evening, dinner by candlelight, ça va sans dire! Admission to the event is free, but some activities, such as steamship cruises, are charged.
