Shepherding in Picinisco Festival

In the beautiful setting of the village of Picinisco, which recently became an Orange Flag of the Italian Touring Club, an event promoting the pastoral tradition of the Comino Valley, which stretches between Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise, has been held for twenty-one years. Guided tastings, food tours, concerts, a market of handicrafts and local products (especially oil, honey, cannellini beans and wine), farm tours and excursions in the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park are just some of the activities that "Pastoralism in Festival" offers to celebrate tradition and a sense of community. In addition, there is the opportunity to participate in educational workshops (also aimed at children) to discover the excellence of the area, such as Pecorino di Picinisco DOP, and to watch at "The Shepherd's Corner" the milking and preparation of cheese.
