A centuries-old appointment in honor of St. Anthony that takes place in the town of Sermoneta. It begins in the early morning hours with the polentari (polenta makers) who, with copper cauldrons and wood fires, begin cooking the polenta. After the Holy Mass in the Cathedral Santa Maria in Cielo and the procession with the Holy Statue of St. Anthony, meet in Piazza del Popolo for the traditional distribution of polenta with sauce cooked with sausages and local olive oil, accompanied by music, shows and performances by flag-wavers. Wine and local agricultural products tasting booths are also present.
