Mortara Goose Salami Festival

Every year, on the last weekend of September, the municipality of Mortara hosts a tasty event, the Sagra del Salame d'Oca; one of the most anticipated events throughout the province. During the gastronomic event, it is possible to taste goose products and other local delicacies at "Ochebontà, the salon of goose and flavors," but also to visit a "Palmipede Exhibition" with a display of more than 200 specimens of geese, including the rarest and most peculiar breeds from different parts of the world. In addition, Sunday also features an enthralling show by the City of Mortara Flag-wavers, a historical parade of nearly 500 participants and a thrilling Palio between the city's six districts.
