In a nutshell
At the National Archaeological Museum in Verona, a small but valuable photographic exhibition dedicated to the Roman Valpolicella, the outcome of a long project path that has seen the collaboration of the Valpolicella municipalities with the peripheral structures of the Ministry of Culture, the Superintendence in the first place and the Regional Directorate Museums of Veneto, host of the event.
The Photographic Exhibition aims to make known, enhance and protect the cultural heritage, giving equal dignity and value to the whole territory and not only to the most striking sites, of which Valpolicella nonetheless boasts some nationally important archaeological examples.
The initiative, which in a way constitutes a foretaste of the forthcoming exhibition dedicated to the Roman Age that will be mounted at the National Archaeological Museum in Verona, was able to take place thanks to the commendable "cordate" spirit of the administrations that make up this territorial district, united not only by their love of archaeology, but more generally by their awareness of the importance of protecting the landscape, that composite fabric made up of churches, villas, rustic courts, agricultural plots and the archaeological evidence itself, both visible and invisible. A visit to the exhibition is included in the regular Museum entrance fee.
