The Fruits of the Castle

Roses of the most unusual and surprising varieties are the stars of the spring edition of "I Frutti del Castello," the important event dedicated to floriculture and the art of gardening that returns in May to the Castle of Paderna di Pontenure. In the green areas and courtyards, surrounded by the fascinating atmosphere of the manor house, one can discover with all the senses the floral wonders, an expression of biodiversity and seasonality, of 110 exhibitors from all over Italy, experts in plants, gardens and talented artisans. An opportunity to learn the secrets and news about gardening and the floral universe by participating in meetings with scholars, operators and enthusiasts. There will be several talks and workshops dedicated to roses, with a focus on cultivation and pruning techniques, as well as perfumes: visitors will be able to learn how to make rose syrups and fragrances. It will also be possible to have lunch in the manor or purchase a picnic box full of Emilian specialties to be enjoyed in the open air, in the embrace of the flowers. The fall version of the festival will be held instead in October.
