It will be possible to admire the Pictor Optimus's best-known and most significant works: fifty-five paintings, watercolors, graphic works and sculptures that have toured the world, proposed by curators Simona Antellini and Lorenzo Canova in an exhibition itinerary that runs from the rooms on the piano nobile to the spaces on the ground floor. Section after section runs through the major themes embraced by de Chirico over the course of his long and intense human and artistic parabola: from the revival of youthful Metaphysics to painting that dialogues with the greats of art history to the masterpieces of his Neo-Metaphysical period. Le Piazze d'Italia and Ville Romane, Metaphysical Interiors, Mannequins, Archaeologists and Gladiators are joined by Tables of the Apocalypse and great sacred art.
