Festival Knowledge and Tastes of the Pink Apple of the Sibillini Mountains

The festival promotes the preservation of the Tasty Pink Apple of the Sibillini Mountains, in the hinterland of Macerata, a Slow Food Presidium since 2008. The fruit's name comes from the rose scent of its flowers in spring. The two-day event began in 2004 and over the years has become one of the most eagerly awaited cultural events for villagers. During the event there is a market of apples and typical and organic products, food stands where you can enjoy dishes such as apple ravioli, polenta, apple skewers, barbecued meat, and of course apple desserts. On the morning of the second day, there is also a magnificent "Pink Apple Discovery Walk" along the hilly paths that offer striking views of the surrounding countryside.
