Renaissance Festival Ancient Rose Pageant

The Renaissance Feast of San Gregorio di Catania is much more than a historical re-enactment, it involves all the craftsmen and citizens in the dissemination and knowledge of local folk traditions and their artistic, cultural, and social value. The noble lineage of the Paternò family, once lords of these lands, is re-enacted. A Herald will announce the noble families to those present, and then the parade will begin, winding its way through the main street until it reaches the Piano Immacolata, and kicking off a marvelous display of Flag-wavers, Musicians, Jugglers, Jugglers and Artists. Suggestive will be the fire shows and horses dancing to Renaissance music, as unique and of great value, the sartorially made and hand-sewn clothes, a source of pride and satisfaction.
