Medieval Festival in Castiglione di Garfagnana

For two days, Castiglione di Garfagnana relives the Middle Ages. The entire village is immersed in an exciting atmosphere. A wide range of themed events are organized within its medieval walls with performances by jesters, musicians and street performers. It all revolves around a splendid procession in historical costumes where the oath of allegiance to Lucca is re-enacted, followed by a crossbow tournament in the square, which pits the Republic of Lucca against the town of Massa Marittima. There will be no shortage of "Dinners in the Osterias" with medieval menus and a stunning fireworks display, which will conclude the event.
