Feast in honor of St. Joseph - Palio da Ruga

Historical re-enactment organized by the cultural association "Amici del Palio da Ruga" and sponsored by the Municipality of Melissa involving more than 150 figures, including Dames, Knights, Priors, Ruganti and flag-waving groups. It is a key event for the re-enactment of ancient traditions, but also a promoter of the territory, combined with moments of faith toward the wooden statue of St. Joseph, kept in the side niche of the Church of Santa Maria SS. del Monte del Carmelo. In honor of St. Joseph there will be a market fair, various Eucharistic celebrations and finally his statue will be carried in procession.
