Every year, on the first Sunday of Lent, the streets of Grosio are invaded by the village's traditional masks that parade and are always worn by the same people; a tradition that is passed down through the different families.
The parade is opened by the masks of the Magra Quaresima and Carneval Vecc, followed by other popular figures such as the Bear and his Escort, the Harlequin of Grosio, the Clown Toni, and Old Bernarda with an infant spraying the crowd with wine pouring out of a baby bottle. In their wake, satirical floats and traditional music.
