Ternano CantaMaggio

Every year since 1896, between April 30 and May 1, a parade of floats announces the return of spring accompanied by ancient stornelli in Terni dialect. The origin of this very ancient festival is linked to the blossoming of nature after the harsh winters. Over the centuries a legend has been passed down that those who follow the floats parading through the city meet their soul mates. Accompanying the parade will be other numerous events including musical and poetry competitions in Terni dialect.
