Benevento is "City of Nougat," a historical tradition recognized and enhanced over time. BenTorrone is a fair promoting the typical product with numerous stands of local companies but also spaces for guest companies from nearby Irpinia and other corners of Campania, Calabria and Sicily. Workshops, tastings, show cooking and activities for children are planned. Highlights will be the "Itinerant Cultural Factory of Artisan Chocolate" and "The History and Processing of Benevento Nougat."

A must-attend event for nougat lovers-Benevento has a long tradition in this regard. My advice is to learn more about the history of Benevento's "cupeta" and taste it at one of the many stands of local producers!
