Serra San Bruno, between the Middle Ages and the Baroque

Serra San Bruno, in the province of Vibo Valentia, is both the heart of the Calabrian Serre, serving as a gateway to the natural park that protects them, and a town so important and rich in history that it can truly be considered a city. In its historic centre, you can see a before and after the powerful earthquake of 1783: one part of the town has preserved its medieval structure, while the other was built later, as shown by its Baroque churches. The beauty of Serra San Bruno, however, also lies in this dual soul, enriched by the nearby Ancinale springs, the Archiforo Wood and the Santa Maria Wood.
