What we are going to do

An excursion among sweeping views aristocratic villas, monasteries and ancient rural villages. Tremezzina is the name of a municipality overlooking Lake Como, which as of 2014 includes the towns of Tremezzo, Ossuccio, Mezzegra and Lenno. Known mainly for the treasures it holds from Villa del Balbianello to Villa Carlotta, just to name a few and which we have visited on other excursions; less well known for the rocky cliffs and vast fields of olive trees that hide small churches and ancient villages once home to noble villas and with a very rich history. What is needed

Hiking boots with lug soles to proceed safely on rocky trails; personal backpack with supplies of water, and snacks. Dress in layers according to season (T-shirt, long-sleeved shirt, sweatshirt or fleece, windproof/rainproof; softshell); rain cape in case of unstable weather.
